In this context, we are looking for an Environmental Engineer who will be responsible for managing the environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives of our Ready-Mix Concrete Plants.

In this role, you will play an active part in areas such as environmental legislation compliance, water and waste management, dust and emission control, resource efficiency, and environmental risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the compliance of Ready-Mix Concrete Plants with environmental legislation, permits, licenses, and legal requirements.
• Manage environmental permits, declarations, official notifications, and reporting processes.
• Monitor, analyze, and report dust, emissions, water, waste, and environmental KPIs.
• Ensure the compliant management of waste concrete, concrete wash water, and sludge in accordance with applicable legislation.
• Identify environmental risks at plants and follow up on site inspections and improvement actions.
• Contribute to initiatives related to water management, resource efficiency, recycling, and decarbonization.
• Prepare for and support environmental audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to environmental awareness and training activities for plant employees.
• Collaborate closely with Ready-Mix Operations, Technical Services, Quality, HSE, and Sustainability teams.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the Ready-Mix Concrete, Cement, Mining, Energy, or Manufacturing industries.
• Experience in environmental management at Ready-Mix Concrete Plants is considered an advantage.

Technical Competencies

• Holder of a valid Environmental Officer Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, environmental permits/licenses, waste management, and water management.
• Experience in dust and emission control, environmental monitoring/measurement, and reporting processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of sustainability, carbon management, or decarbonization is preferred.

Other Qualifications

• B2 level of English.
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Adana or Mersin.
• Valid Class B driving license and active driving experience.
• Willing and able to make regular site visits and travel.
