We are looking for Environmental Specialist to join our Sustainability, OHS and Environment Team.
As Environmental Specialist at Çimsa, you will be;
- Improve the systematics inside the plants for carbon accounting mechanisms including legal and EU regulation requests,
- Develop and implement programs for water management, waste management and air pollution,
- Follow-up water, waste and carbon footprints and contribute to life cycle assessments of the products,
- Monitor and report on compliance with Environmental Law and regulations,
- Taking an active role in audits carried out within the scope of the Environmental Law and regulations,
- Follow-up and control of necessary corrective/preventive actions regarding nonconformities reported during internal and external audits,
- Ensuring and improving the fulfillment of TS EN ISO 14001 Standard requirements,
- Monitoring and reporting of environment related investments,
- Encourage and promote environmental consciousness among employees
This is the opportunity for you if you have the following skills and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from reputable universities in Environmental Engineering,
- A minimum 2 years of experience as Environmental Engineer, preferably with a previous experience in cement, glass&glazing, steel or other heavy industry sectors,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels,
- Good command of English both written and spoken,
- Outstanding skill of focus on work and business follow-up,
- Strong organizational skills, highly effective planning and reporting skills,
- team spirit and open to cooperation,
- Excellent knowledge in MS Office applications.
