As a member of the Environment and Waste team at Çimsa, you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and implementing factory environmental policies and legal regulations, ensuring full compliance with all relevant environmental laws.
• Tracking and managing all emission parameters, including greenhouse gas calculations, and taking the necessary actions to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Planning, organizing, and implementing waste management processes, developing strategies to reduce waste generation, and initiating recycling and waste reduction projects.
• Ensuring all environmental verification and waste measurements are carried out periodically and manage the application/renewal of necessary environmental permits, including the Temporary Activity Certificate, Environmental, and Permit Licenses.
• Overseeing the acceptance, storage, and co-incineration of waste arriving at the factory, ensuring that all processes comply with environmental regulations and preparing the required reports.
• Entering monthly data on Alternative Fuels and Alternative Raw Materials into the Mass Balance System in the Environmental Information System of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
• Driving continuous improvements related to energy efficiency and resourcing usage to minimize environmental impact across the factory.
• Collaborating with relevant departments to develop and implement environmentally friendly projects and solutions, enhancing the factory’s sustainability efforts.
• Providing training and raising awareness among employees on environmental management and waste reduction strategies.
• Ensuring all internal auditing processes are followed and maintain environmental compliance throughout the factory.

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related fields (Master’s degree is preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience in environmental management, waste management, or a related field.
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Eskisehir
• Familiar with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental management software.
• Knowledge of environmental and waste management regulations, sustainability practices, and legal requirements.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in teams.
• Problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
• Advanced English proficiency is preferred.
