Cimsa Americas Cement Man & Sales Corp.; is a subsidiary of Cimsa Cement San. Tic. A.S., World’s Biggest White Cement Supplier, located in Houston/Texas. The Electrical & Electronic Technican role is based at our Cimsa Americas Cement Manufacturing & Sales Corp. located in Houston, TX and reports directly to the Operations Manager. The Electrical & Electronic Technican will be responsible for the install, maintain, and repair electrical/electronic systems, components and apparatus for machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. This role is for a motivated individuals who perform installation, maintenance repair, design and troubleshooting to electrical and instrument equipment of Houston Facility in Texas which has a total production volume of approximately 300,000 TPY.

As Electrical Technican at Çimsa Americas you will be responsible for:

• Reconstructing, repairing, disassembling, and assembling electrical systems, PLC equipment, automation systems, switch cabinets, circuit breakers, controllers, encoders, fuses, sensors, load cells, motors, switches, converters, transformers, etc.
• Performing electrical testing and calibration,
• Performing routine preventative maintenance,
• Ensuring proper and safe operation of equipment,
• Identifying faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics,
• Determination of the immediate need for maintenance action and appropriate response,
• Attending daily meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime,
• Assessment of the condition of used parts,
• Maintenance of parts and tools inventory,
• Preparation of maintenance reports as required,
• Maintenance of cleanliness and order in tools, equipment, and work areas, maintains all tools and equipment used on the job in good working order.
• Interaction with vendors and outside service providers.
• Uses PC and PLC programming to troubleshoot process control issues for automated machinery.
• Participates in the training of apprentices and new employees.

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience as an industrial electrician
• Texas Journeyman Electrician License or Texas Industrial Electrician License
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Knowledge and experience in the use of electrical installation tools, hand tools, power tools, cranes and industrial equipment,
• To have advanced knowledge of AC Motor and VFD systems, Power Distribution and Motor Control Systems, Transformers, contactors, breakers, motors, encoders, Instrumental Systems – sensors and instruments
• Understanding SCADA systems.
• Understanding PLC (Rockwell/Allen Bradley with Studio5000 is a plus) systemsTo be able to identify coloured cables by sight
• Good understanding of blueprints, single line diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, Mechanical equipment (gearboxes, bearings, couplings, precision alignment, universal joints, safety couplings, hydraulic actuators)
• To have a basic knowledge of hydraulic equipment (Hydraulic diagrams, drawing interpretation; Hydraulic filtration, conditioning systems; Directional, proportional and servo valve systems), Lubrication theory and systems (Grease types for complex applications; Force and/or positive grease and oil systems; Oil analysis and interpretation of oil analysis results)
